This year, we are combining our fall workday and our service project for Wheeler Mission! On October 10th, 8:30 - 2:30, we'll be both tackling projects around the church and packing sack lunches for the unhoused of Indianapolis. There will be something for everyone, so we're looking for entire families to join us and serve both the church and the broader Indianapolis community. And year after year, we've been able to pack more than 200 lunches, so we're dreaming a bit bigger this year and increasing the goal to 300 lunches. You do not need to stay the whole time but instead can serve in one of two, three hour shifts, 8:30-11:30 and 11:30-2:30.

The Midtown Missions Team invites you to an evening of prayer at the Ministry House on Wednesday, October 14 at 7:30pm. We will pray for our Midtown missionaries, local ministries, our church, city, and beyond! This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the missionaries and ministries connected to Midtown and to join fellow believers in praying for the advancement of the Gospel to the ends of the earth!

Midtown's Fall Fest is back! Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 24th at 3 PM for trunk or treat, a soup cook-off, cornhole tournament, and so much more! Trunk or Treat will be happening from 3-4 pm and everything else will be from 4-6pm. We need a lot of help to make this event happen! If you are willing to decorate your trunk for trunk or treat, bring a soup or side for the cook off, or help with general set up and clean up, please reach out to Elizabeth Darrough at elizabeth@midtownchurchindy.org.

At our denomination’s General Assembly this past June, some of the PCA’s pastors and leaders encouraged us to cultivate concern for unbelievers around us and to cast our cares and concerns for the church on the Lord. To that end, the General Assembly approved a motion to call all PCA churches to set a day for prayer and fasting.

Central Indiana Presbytery, of which Midtown is a part, has chosen Tuesday, October 20th as a day for fasting and prayer for spiritual renewal and revival. I’d especially encourage you to pray together with your community sometime that week even if you do not participate in the day of fasting and prayer on October 20th. Attached is a guide that you can use as families, individuals, and community groups in order to structure your time of fasting and praying for our churches, our city, and the world as we seek gospel renewal in the 21st Century!
